Dr Srikant Nagulapalli

Dr Srikant Nagulapalli (DIN: 02426762) is the Government Nominee Director of our Company.

Dr Srikant is an accomplished leader with over two and a half decades of experience in government and industry. He holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering and a doctorate in economics. Currently, Dr Srikant is serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power, Government of India, where he is at the forefront of driving power sector policy reforms and leading the charge on energy transition, with a particular focus on transmission and storage. Before his current role, he was Chairman and Managing Director of AP Transmission Corporation and Secretary of Energy for the Government of Andhra Pradesh. In these positions, Dr Srikant played a crucial role in enhancing the financial viability of the power sector by significantly reducing power purchase costs and improving collection efficiency. Importantly, he led the planning of over 30 GW of Pumped Storage Projects and supported key initiatives in energy efficiency. His career is also marked by major achievements, such as master planning and land pooling for the greenfield Capital City of Andhra Pradesh, and implementing a large-scale government-funded health insurance scheme. With extensive experience in managing diverse organizations and complex projects, Dr Srikant is well-positioned to be leading transformative initiatives in India’s evolving energy landscape.
