Chief Vigilance Officer
Ms. Simmi R Nakra is the Chief Vigilance Officer of Grid Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA) since April 2022. She is an officer of IP&TAFS 1994 batch. She is a Gold Medalist in MSC (Chemistry) from Kurukshetra University. She holds an M.Phil in Organic Chemistry from Punjab University, Chandigarh and M.Phil in Defence and Strategic Studies from University of Madras. She is an alumnus of National Defence College, New Delhi and also MBA Finance Degree holder.
Presently, she is the full time Chief Vigilance Officer of Power Finance Corporation and holding additional charge of Central Electricity Authority of India and Grid Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA).
She has a versatile experience of approx. 30 years in Government of India in various capacities & Area. During her 30-year long career in Government of India she has worked in department of Telecommunication, Department of post, Department of Personnel and Training and as the first CVO of Medical Council of India. She has also been in the board of Telecommunications Consultants India & Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited as a Govt. Nominee Director.
